This position is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and assisting the line manager in the revenue process, including customer billing (commercial and customer care), collections, revenue reconciliation, adjustments, and aging reports.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepare revenue analysis and reconcile revenue with the trial balance.
- →Reconcile accounts receivable with the trial balance.
- →Process refunds for excess customer payments in accordance with established SOPs.
- →Coordinate with the Commercial and Customer Care departments to ensure monthly billing is closed before month-end and no unbilled revenue remains.
- →Maintain bank receipt vouchers against commercial receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- →Coordinate with the IT department to resolve Oracle system issues or discrepancies in revenue records.
- →Perform monthly Oracle closing entries for revenue/rebate accruals and other internal/AD Ports reporting templates within agreed timelines.
- → Ensure effective administration and discipline for self and team, including adherence to attendance, overtime, leave, break schedules, and dress code (where applicable).
- → Monitor individual and team performance.
- → Ensure continuous training and development related to revenue accounting processes.
- → Mentor and support junior staff as required.
- → Ensure Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
- → Promote a culture of motivation, engagement, and teamwork.
- → Identify automation opportunities to improve process efficiency.
- → Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.
- → Facilitate annual audits and year-end closing activities.
- → Support the Team Lead in decision-making by providing relevant financial information and analysis.
- → Perform additional assignments and projects as required.
- Minimum 14 years of education in Business Administration, Finance or Accouting, and/or professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA (preferred but not mandatory)
- Preferably 2 - 6 of experience in account and finance
- Progressive experience in accounts receivables in accounts and finance
