Our system combines IoT pond monitoring, automation, and farm management software, and we are now building our Indonesian operation through PT HydroNeo Teknologi Indonesia in Surabaya. About the Role
~1 min readYou will own sales for HydroNeo in Indonesia. Your job is to bring shrimp farmers from gut-feeling decisions to professional, data-driven farm management using our technology.
The role is telesales-first: high-volume outreach by phone and video from our Surabaya office. Farm visits, expos, and partner meetings happen when they have a clear purpose and a clear plan. We measure results, not kilometers driven.
You will work with close, direct support from our CEO, who is building the Indonesian market personally alongside you. This is the perfect entry point to rise in a fast-growing startup: as you prove your results, the clear path is to build and lead your own Indonesian sales team.
This is a senior, independent role. You will plan your own weeks, build your own pipeline, and bring your own working methods with you. There is no junior support structure behind you, and we hire specifically for people who do not need one.
- Identify, qualify, and close shrimp farmers and farm groups through calls and video meetings
- Build and run your own pipeline in HubSpot with full data discipline: every contact, call, and deal stage logged
- Use digital tools and AI actively to generate leads, prioritize prospects, and automate your follow-up
- Plan and execute selective in-person farm visits, demos, and industry events with defined objectives
- Identify and develop local sales partners and distributors
- Join English-language calls with international customers and the leadership team
- Feed market and product insights back to the CEO and product team
- As results grow: recruit, train, and lead your own sales team
Requirements
~1 min read- Hands-on experience in shrimp farming or shrimp farm sales, with an existing network among Indonesian shrimp farmers
- Proven digital sales skills. Concretely, at least some of the following: you have run a CRM pipeline yourself (HubSpot strongly preferred), you have built your own lead lists or outreach workflows using AI or automation tools, you use technology daily to work faster instead of waiting for someone to set it up for you
- 3+ years in sales or business development with a track record you can show in numbers
- Native or fluent Bahasa Indonesia, plus English good enough to hold a customer call with international clients
- Based in Surabaya or willing to relocate
- Self-management: you set your own targets, structure your own time, and report results without being chased
