Job Description

Gain hands-on industry experience, lead a real business project, and build the skills, network, and confidence needed to launch your career.

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling interns don't just observe business operations; they become part of them. As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you won't just spend your summer shadowing others or working on administrative tasks. You'll own a project or business initiative that supports real business objectives and delivers measurable impact. After learning the fundamentals of the role through onboarding, training, and mentorship, you'll be trusted to drive your work forward with the support of your manager and team. At the end of the summer, you'll showcase your accomplishments and business impact through a final presentation to company leaders, giving you visibility and exposure beyond your immediate team. Specific projects vary by team and will be discussed during the interview process.

Beyond your project experience, you'll participate in a collaborative internship program designed to help you grow both professionally and personally. Through networking events, professional development opportunities, career coaching, business acumen sessions, site tours, volunteer activities, and intern events, you'll gain valuable insight into the manufacturing industry while building relationships across the organization.

This is a paid summer internship located in Greenville, NC.  If you're looking for an internship where your ideas matter, your work makes a difference, and your growth is a priority, we'd love to hear from you.

From day one, you'll be trusted with work that matters.

  • Ownership of a real business project
  • Mentorship from industry professionals
  • Professional development and career coaching
  • Networking with company leaders
  • Opportunity to present your work to leadership

Interns leave the program with meaningful accomplishments they can discuss in future interviews, while some launch their careers with Hyster-Yale after graduation.
