Role

The Project Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of major capital investment, construction and customer connections projects across the SP Manweb licence area.

The postholder will manage projects throughout the delivery lifecycle, from development handover and mobilisation through construction, commissioning, operational handover and close-out. They will ensure that agreed outputs are delivered safely, on time, within approved budgets and to the required quality, regulatory and technical standards.

They will identify and implement opportunities to improve capital efficiency whilst protecting safety, quality, operational performance and required project outputs.

From time to time, the Project Manager may act on behalf of the Senior Project Manager. The postholder may also represent SP Energy Networks at internal governance forums, stakeholder meetings and relevant industry working groups.

This is a key role within the SPM 132kV Networks team, offering responsibility for complex and strategically important infrastructure projects together with opportunities for continued professional and leadership development.
