This is not a social media manager role.
This is not a “make posts and schedule content” job.
This is not a gig or a short-term contractor position.

Responsibilities

You must understand:

  • →Platform-native hooks
  • →CTA differences
  • →Formatting nuances
  • →Audience psychology differences

You will eventually oversee:

  • X (Twitter)
  • LinkedIn (a major priority)

This includes ghostwriting in the founder’s voice, narrative-based authority content, and business storytelling.

We hire top-down.

You must be able to:

  • Hire and negotiate compensation
  • Train and develop talent
  • Run effective meetings
  • Hold people accountable to output and performance
  • Work with agencies short-term (3–6 months), learn from them, then build in-house

This is an operator role, not an individual contributor role—though you must still have a strong personal content skillset.

  • You have led organic growth before
  • You’ve worked with creators or brands at hundreds of thousands to millions of followers
  • You want to build something massive—not just manage tasks
  • You’re comfortable with ownership, accountability, and pressure
  • You want to be a long-term partner, not a short-term hire

Requirements

  • Cinematic videography / shooting
  • Elite video editing / storytelling
  • High-conversion copywriting / ghostwriting
  • Visual direction / creative strategy

You do not need to be great at everything—but you must be exceptional at something.

Nice to Have

We strongly prefer candidates who:

  • Can travel 1–2x per month to shoot content with Richard
  • Are comfortable being on-location for filming
  • Can work closely with editors and/or an on-site videographer who does the shooting.

STEP 2: Interview process is simple. Round 1 is with our Head of Ops and/or our Head of Marketing, and then round 2 will be with our COO. Final round (Round 3) will be with our founder/CEO Richard Yu.

Finally, we'll give you a paid test assignment to demonstrate your work, leadership, and capabilities, and this can be discussed on the 2nd and 3rd round interview.
