We're looking for an experienced BMS Lead Engineer to join our growing team. This field-based role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse customer portfolio while supporting critical building control systems and developing your career with a global leader in smart building technology.


As a BMS Lead Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical expert for our customers, delivering service, commissioning excellence, and ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll support service delivery, system optimisation and future upgrade opportunities.

This is a mobile role, predominantly around Glasgow.


Responsibilities

  • →Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems
  • →Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues efficiently
  • →Configuring and commissioning controllers and network-level devices
  • →Modifying software and maintaining accurate system documentation
  • →Producing service reports and recommendations
  • →Building strong customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • →Supporting upgrade and lifecycle projects
  • →Project design and commissioning
  • →Work alongside project managers to achieve project delivery
  • →Promoting OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies
  • →Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance

  • Experience within BMS, Building Controls or Automation
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a customer-facing service environment
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous)
