HVAC Truck Based Industrial Mechanic Apprentice (union)

• →Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites. 
• →Apprentices will participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
• →Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs. 
• →You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed. 
• →You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year. 
• →Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
• →Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.  
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
• Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently. 

• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license.
• This position requires random drug screens

Preferred 
1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis. 

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position. 

Pay Range: $18-$20 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided

through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary

range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional
