Hr SpecialistPeople

We exist to unleash the power of the self-employed - helping solopreneurs and micro-businesses thrive by doing what they're passionate about and removing the complexity of building lasting, successful businesses.

Jimdo started in 2007 when three school friends built a website builder in a Northern German farmhouse to help everyone build a presence online. Today, we're a profitable, remote-first company with 220+ people from 50+ nationalities working across 15+ countries. We've helped build over 36 million websites to get online across the world.

We're more than just a website builder. We're an AI-powered platform that helps self-employed people actually run and build successful businesses — from getting found online, winning customers and running their business with a peace of mind by knowing exactly what to do next to move forward.

At the heart of Jimdo is a strong belief in personalized, data-driven guidance. Our platform combines design, business tools, and an AI-powered core that turns real customer data into clear insights and next steps helping our customers focus on what moves their business forward.

🚀 Ready to shape the future of people, performance, and culture in a global remote-first company?

At Jimdo, we're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior People Business Partner who thrives at the intersection of business performance, talent development, organizational design, and culture. This is a unique opportunity to influence company-wide people strategy while partnering closely with leaders across Europe and beyond.

As our Senior People Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping align people strategies with business goals while fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture. You'll work across the entire employee lifecycle—from attracting and developing exceptional talent to driving engagement, performance, retention, and organizational effectiveness. This role reports directly to the Global Head of People and offers a clear pathway to broader leadership opportunities within the People function.

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute strategic people plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

  • Coach leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee relations, and team effectiveness.

  • Build and nurture a high-performance culture through robust feedback, development, and performance practices.

  • Lead engagement and retention initiatives that improve employee experience and strengthen company culture.

  • Use people analytics and HR data to identify trends, solve business challenges, and shape people strategy.

  • Champion organizational development initiatives, including capability building, leadership development, change management, and growth frameworks.

  • Leverage AI and innovative HR practices to improve productivity, decision-making, and employee outcomes.

  • Act as a strategic thought partner during periods of transformation, growth, and organizational change.

  • 5–8+ years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or People Partner experience.

  • Experience supporting fast-paced SaaS, technology, startup, or scale-up environments.

  • Strong expertise in organizational development, talent management, succession planning, and leadership coaching.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate business strategy into people initiatives.

  • Experience using HR metrics, workforce analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Proven track record of leveraging AI and technology to improve HR processes and outcomes.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working in remote-first, distributed international organizations.

  • Exposure to European employment environments and multi-country workforce management.

  • HR-related tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.

  • Based in Germany, Spain, Italy, or another European location where Jimdo operates.
