Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Housing and Operations Coordinator provides monthly reporting on facility maintenance and needs. Manages facility upkeep by conducting site visits to residential halls. Manages furnishings, fixtures, and equipment needs to provide a comfortable living space for residents. Manages campus storage facilities. Organizes and coordinates furniture deliveries. Develops and initiates creative environments for student collaboration and social gathering. Increases education and awareness in sustainability for facility improvements to consider environmental impact.


Additional Department Summary: The Housing Operations Coordinator also provides monthly reporting on facility maintenance and needs, manage facility upkeep by conducting site visits to residential halls, manage furnishings, fixtures and equipment needs to provide a comfortable living space for residents and manage campus storage facilities.

Responsible for moving furniture and equipment to meet the needs of students within the residence halls. Supervise student support staff as well as responsible for organizing and coordinating furniture deliveries. Serve as the Maintenance liaison and ensure work orders are completed timely. Maintain a positive and customer-oriented approach to the Move-in/Move-out experience for residents.

Support HRC department with programming space for special events and requests as well as work with student groups on facility requests. Develop and initiate creative environments for student collaboration and social gathering. Increase education and awareness in sustainability for facility improvements to consider environmental impact.

Responsible for completing required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Responsible for holding staff accountable for completion of required training.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some facilities, operations, or other housing-related experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Effective organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications/programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, database management). Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting all students.


Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher preferred. Experience in housing, residence life, inventory management, or inventory systems management.
