This senior leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape global sourcing strategy and strengthen supplier performance across the aerospace industry. You will lead a geographically dispersed team, oversee strategic supplier relationships, and drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. Working across manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality, and commercial functions, you will align sourcing decisions with operational priorities and customer requirements. You will also guide complex negotiations, mitigate supply chain risks, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and working capital. The role combines strategic decision-making with hands-on commercial leadership in a highly regulated, globally connected environment. For an experienced aerospace procurement leader, this is an opportunity to influence global supply chain resilience and deliver lasting business impact.

  • Lead the global commodity management function across direct materials, special processes, outsourced services, tooling, and strategic indirect purchasing categories.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop Regional Commodity Managers, establishing consistent global sourcing strategies, governance standards, performance expectations, and leadership capabilities.

  • Develop and implement global commodity strategies that balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, supplier capabilities, cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.

  • Direct global sourcing activities, supplier selection, and complex commercial negotiations, including long-term agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and applicable customer, quality, regulatory, and export-control requirements.

  • Drive measurable cost savings, productivity improvements, working-capital optimisation, and commercial risk reduction through should-cost models, clean-sheet analysis, purchase-price variance, inflation tracking, surcharges, and market-index analysis.

  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships through executive business reviews, performance scorecards, corrective actions, recovery plans, and structured escalation processes.

  • Oversee supplier capacity, lead times, long-lead materials, dual-sourcing strategies, business-continuity planning, geopolitical exposure, trade compliance, and other supply chain risks.

  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Commercial, and Program Management teams on requests for quotation and proposal, make-or-buy decisions, supplier qualifications, supplier transitions, and new-product introductions.

  • Govern global demand and supply reviews, aligning forecasts, supplier commitments, expedited requirements, inventory exposure, and excess or obsolete materials.

  • Review and negotiate strategic contracts to minimise schedule, quality, warranty, liability, price-escalation, and revenue-related risks.

  • Standardise global sourcing processes, supplier data governance, and key performance indicator reporting through MRP/ERP systems, Coupa, Power BI, and other digital tools.

  • Represent Global Supply Chain in executive reviews, customer and supplier discussions, acquisition-related sourcing integration, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.

  • Support programs involving International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) responsibilities, as applicable.

  • Travel approximately 20–40% as required to support global operations, suppliers, and business priorities.
