We are seeking a hands-on email marketing leader to oversee and scale a high-volume, revenue-generating newsletter program serving audiences across 22 markets. In this role, you will drive newsletter strategy, campaign execution, audience engagement, deliverability, and commercial performance while protecting the subscriber experience. You will manage more than 40 campaigns per week alongside automated lifecycle journeys, sponsored placements, and targeted product marketing initiatives. Working closely with marketing leadership, advertising sales, merchant partners, and analytics teams, you will turn campaign data into actionable insights that strengthen monetization and long-term audience value. As a player-coach, you will combine strategic direction with hands-on execution, technical expertise, and team development. This is an opportunity to shape a global email marketing operation, improve performance at scale, and build a more personalized, data-driven communication experience.

  • Lead newsletter strategy and monetization: Develop and execute a global newsletter roadmap across 22 markets, balancing sponsored placements, commissionable offers, campaign frequency, audience engagement, and long-term subscriber health.

  • Manage high-volume campaign execution: Oversee more than 40 newsletter campaigns per week, managing planning, creative development, quality assurance, scheduling, deployment, and post-campaign analysis.

  • Optimize commercial performance: Partner with advertising sales and merchant teams to advise on inventory, placements, targeting, and campaign best practices, using reliable performance data to improve partner outcomes and revenue potential.

  • Own deliverability and sender reputation: Manage inbox placement, sending-domain health, IP and domain warm-up, email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC), list hygiene, audience data quality, and mailbox-provider requirements across multiple markets.

  • Drive experimentation and optimization: Develop mobile-first, flexible email templates and run continuous A/B testing across creative, offers, segmentation, personalization, and send timing to improve engagement and campaign effectiveness.

  • Build audience segmentation and personalization: Deliver targeted messaging based on market, client, member behavior, and relevant preferences, ensuring that audience selection and campaign placements respect client-specific settings.

  • Develop lifecycle marketing journeys: Design and optimize automated activation, welcome, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns that increase engagement, improve retention, and strengthen long-term member value.

  • Support product marketing and go-to-market initiatives: Oversee targeted campaigns that increase awareness and adoption of proprietary products and service categories, collaborating with marketing stakeholders on launch objectives and execution.

  • Establish performance measurement and reporting: Define and monitor key performance indicators across engagement, deliverability, lifecycle, and commercial outcomes, including open rates, click-through rates (CTR), click-to-open rates (CTOR), and sender reputation.

  • Ensure trustworthy analytics: Maintain accurate, defensible campaign and partner reporting, accounting for bots, email scanners, prefetch activity, and other invalid traffic that may distort engagement metrics, in partnership with analytics teams.

  • Lead and develop the email marketing team: Coach and manage a growing team of email marketers and specialists, establishing clear expectations, encouraging professional development, and maintaining high execution standards.

  • Improve operational processes: Strengthen campaign intake, approvals, quality assurance, reporting, and cross-functional communication to improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability.

  • Manage technology and vendor relationships: Oversee relationships with email service providers (ESPs), customer data platforms (CDPs), and deliverability vendors, contributing to platform strategy, capability assessments, and potential migrations.

  • Maintain regulatory compliance: Ensure email marketing practices comply with applicable privacy and email regulations, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR, while overseeing consent, subscription, and preference management.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to marketing leadership, communicating campaign performance, emerging trends, risks, and priorities while recommending data-driven improvements.
