Join a mission-driven organization advancing the Ethereum ecosystem by building open-source infrastructure that empowers developers worldwide. As Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the product strategy and roadmaps for two essential developer tools, Hardhat and Ethereum Development Runtime (EDR). You will translate complex technical challenges and developer needs into clear product requirements, prioritizing features that improve the experience of building, testing, and deploying smart contracts. Working closely with engineering leaders, software engineers, and ecosystem partners, you will shape API behavior, command-line interfaces, and core developer workflows. This senior individual contributor role combines technical expertise, product judgment, and strategic thinking in a remote-first environment built around autonomy and collaboration. Your work will directly influence the quality, reliability, and evolution of tools that support the broader Ethereum developer community.
Product strategy and roadmap ownership: Define, execute, and continuously refine the product roadmaps for Hardhat and EDR, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives, developer needs, and ecosystem priorities.
Product prioritization and decision-making: Own decisions about what to build next, balancing developer impact, engineering effort, technical constraints, ecosystem requirements, and long-term product sustainability.
Requirements and documentation: Write and maintain product requirements documents (PRDs), feature specifications, and product design documentation that translate complex needs into clear, actionable guidance for engineering teams.
Technical product execution: Take ownership of core product management activities, driving feature definition, scope, prioritization, and execution in collaboration with engineering leadership and development teams.
Developer experience and product design: Define user experience expectations and developer-facing functionality, ensuring that APIs, command-line interfaces (CLIs), configuration options, and other product surfaces remain intuitive and consistent.
Engineering collaboration: Work closely with the CTO, Head of Engineering, engineering managers, and software engineers to align dependencies, establish delivery sequences, assess trade-offs, and support effective technical decision-making.
Technical feasibility assessment: Evaluate architectural constraints, implementation complexity, and engineering trade-offs to ensure product requirements are realistic, appropriately scoped, and aligned with broader technical objectives.
Developer needs and ecosystem research: Identify high-impact problems through developer feedback, ecosystem engagement, and an understanding of Ethereum development workflows, translating insights into actionable product opportunities.
Bug and feedback prioritization: Identify opportunities to improve existing products, prioritize bugs and user feedback, and help remove blockers that affect development progress or the developer experience.
Cross-functional communication: Serve as the primary product point of contact for engineering teams, providing clear and consistent guidance on product decisions, requirements, and user experience expectations.
Product quality and consistency: Ensure that features are delivered with a coherent user experience across both products, supporting reliable workflows for writing, testing, compiling, and deploying smart contracts.
Stakeholder alignment: Build strong relationships with internal leaders, engineers, and external ecosystem partners to maintain transparency, communicate product direction, and ensure decisions reflect both immediate needs and long-term goals.
