The Virtual Primary Care Physician will deliver comprehensive, relationship-driven primary care through an innovative virtual-first healthcare model. Working within a multidisciplinary care team, the physician will collaborate with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators to provide personalized, coordinated care. Beyond direct patient care, this role offers clinical leadership responsibilities, including provider mentorship, quality improvement, and the development of evidence-based care programs. The physician will help advance value-based care initiatives by improving patient outcomes, supporting population health management, and promoting appropriate healthcare utilization. Leveraging virtual technology and an extensive network of diagnostic, specialty, and community-based partners, the role addresses a broad range of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced physician passionate about healthcare innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transforming how patients access high-quality primary care.

  • Clinical supervision and mentorship: Serve as supervising physician for nurse practitioners under collaborative practice agreements, conducting structured chart and documentation reviews, providing clinical consultations, and supporting professional development.

  • Value-based care and cost management: Support initiatives focused on total cost of care, manage high-complexity patients, promote evidence-based treatment, and guide appropriate utilization across the healthcare continuum.

  • Clinical quality and improvement: Participate in peer reviews, chart audits, quality improvement activities, and clinical performance assessments to maintain consistent, high-quality care across assigned care teams.

  • Population health management: Use population health data, quality metrics, and care gap reports to identify opportunities for proactive intervention and improve outcomes across assigned patient panels.

  • Clinical program development: Contribute to the creation, implementation, and continuous refinement of evidence-based clinical programs, care pathways, and practice standards.

  • Documentation and compliance: Maintain accurate, complete, and clinically supported documentation that reflects patient complexity and supports quality measurement, care management, and value-based care programs.

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Participate in daily team huddles and cross-functional care activities to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care and effective communication among clinical partners.

  • Urgent care coverage: Participate in scheduled on-call shifts to support urgent patient needs outside regular practice hours.

  • Professional development and licensure: Maintain required state medical licenses and continuing medical education (CME) obligations while contributing to clinical excellence in a fast-growing, technology-enabled healthcare environment.
