Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Urbandale Function: Technology (CA) Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 120455 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As a Software Engineer at John Deere ISG located in Urbandale, Iowa, you will: * Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software for precision agriculture, construction, and turf for the John Deere G5 embedded display * Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineering teams across the tech stack to discover and deliver end-to-end solutions * Support a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including Test Automation and Continuous Integration VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need * 2 or more years of experience developing object-oriented C++ * 2 or more years of experience with Automated Testing including Test Driven Development * 2 or more years of experience working on a team leveraging Agile delivery methodologies * 2 or more years of experience building multithreaded and concurrent systems ## What Makes You Standout * Experience with Deere G5 Display software * Experience with the Qt application framework, including Widgets and QML * Experience developing in a Linux environment * Experience working in the Precision Agriculture domain ## Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or other IT related What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
