JuneShine Brands was built by people who believe you shouldn't have to choose between living well and working hard. Our founders met through a shared love of surfing, the outdoors, and chasing experiences worth having. That spirit still runs through everything we do.

We are a company with a purpose beyond profit. Every brand we build exists for a reason. We believe the next generation of consumers will choose brands that reflect their values, and we intend to build exactly those brands.

We hire exceptional people and get out of their way. Flexible hours, no micromanagement, and trust as the default - we take cues from Yvon Chouinard's Let My People Go Surfing, a book we give every new hire on day one. What we ask in return is simple: own your work, deliver with excellence, and never let flexibility come at someone else's expense.

We value people who are hungry and humble, who take ownership without being asked, who move fast without cutting corners, and who make everyone around them better. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

This is the role that turns "we make good products" into a system you can prove, audit, and stand behind. As Quality Compliance Manager, you'll report to the Senior Quality Manager and own JuneShine Brands' Quality Compliance program end to end - leading audits and corrective actions, reviewing external documentation, investigating supplier quality incidents, and advising leadership on food safety - as we scale to more products, more partners, and more decisions that matter.
  • Partner with Contract Manufacturing Managers and the New Product Team to evaluate, qualify, and onboard contract manufacturers, assessing manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and food safety programs against company standards
  • Establish and maintain quality agreements, testing requirements, and release criteria for co-manufactured products
  • Own supplier and contract manufacturer audits - planning, conducting, and driving CAPA programs and continuous improvement based on findings and performance data
  • Partner with the Innovation team to support new product and process transfer from development through commercial production, developing the quality requirements, specs, and documentation needed for launch
  • Lead cross-functional efforts across New Product, Innovation, Operations, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure successful, compliant product commercialization
  • Track the evolving regulatory landscape and advise the business accordingly
  • Lead risk assessments and validation activities for new formulations, processes, and manufacturing sites
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and performance management for any future direct reports
  • 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in the food industry within Quality, Regulatory, or Operations
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing direct reports
  • Experience working in the CPG space (Food, THC/hemp, supplements, beverage)
  • Certifications and/or strong working knowledge in Food Safety, GMP, GFSI, and/or Quality Management systems and regulations
  • This role requires travel of up to approximately 35% of the time to support supplier audits, partner onboarding, and new product launches, with occasional periods up to 50%, which may vary based on business demands
  • Experience managing R&D scale-up, formula transfer, and new product commercialization at contract manufacturers
  • Experience working in contract manufacturing quality -  including auditing, performance monitoring, and onboarding
