Management of the commercial project team and ensuring they perform to the required standards and expectations.
Ensure contract compliance and co-ordinate that information as advice to Commercial Manager.

Responsible for maintaining standards across the project
Recommend appropriate commercial remedies for poor performance
Team Development & ensure they have the support needed
Accountability for all project internal and external commercial reporting
Delivery of internal and external commercial targets
Ensures the quality, timeliness and consistency of work produced by the team
The active contribution to continuous improvement to ensure quality & performance of Quantity Surveying
To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan & be able to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively
The role will require the job holder to lead and manage as part of the commercial team to work on relatively large and complex procurement activities ranging from low value to multi-million-pound contracts.
This includes supporting of strategy development, cost & price analysis, negotiation, commercial risk assessment, contract placement, contract management & contract close out.
The Principal Quantity Surveyor will be expected to procure & manage multiple framework contracts in addition to bespoke procurements. The role will be expected to provide procurement & pre-contract advice to the SL buying team to aid in effective procurements.
Manage complex and routine procurement and supply chain management activities supporting strategy development, price analysis, negotiation and contract placement, management and close out within frameworks in order to contribute to the successful performance or programmes and/or projects and to support the achievement of Sellafield Ltd business objectives.
