Lead Teacher - Senior Preschool | West 85 Campus

OVERVIEW:

You know the difference a great teacher makes. At Fueling Brains Academies, you’ll lead the learning in your classroom, bring your ideas to life, and help preschoolers build the confidence and skills they’ll carry into kindergarten.

We’re hiring three Lead Teachers at West 85th. Each position has a different teaching focus:

• Jumping Junipers - structured learning: Help children build focus, independence and problem-solving skills through purposeful activities and routines.
• Pondering Pines - creative learning: Bring imagination, storytelling, visual learning and sensory exploration into children’s day.
• Roaring Redwoods - movement: Use active play and movement experiences to develop coordination, body awareness and confidence.

These homerooms primarily serve children aged three, four and five, respectively. Each Lead Teacher also plans and teaches for all three preschool groups throughout the week, adapting activities to children’s ages and needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead your classroom’s learning program and plan engaging weekly lessons.
• Guide children’s learning, observe their progress and share it with families.
• Work with fellow educators to create a safe, welcoming classroom where every child can participate and grow.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Alberta Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification; Level 3 is preferred.
• Experience teaching preschool children and planning age-appropriate activities.
• The confidence to lead a classroom, collaborate with other educators and build strong relationships with families.
