You will be joining a tight-knit team with a new approach to private equity investing. We are a private investment firm working alongside top financial and operating partners to pursue high-impact investments. The role demands a unique blend of research and qualitative data analysis skills, providing an opportunity to acquire diverse skills and experience through exposure to different teams. Responsibilities

Build Code-Driven Systems & Automation

- Design and implement solutions using Apex, SOQL, and structured automation patterns

- Write maintainable, testable code that follows strong engineering practices

- Decide when to use declarative tooling vs. custom code, and clearly explain tradeoffs

- Debug complex issues across code, automation, data, and integrations

- Write unit tests and ensure deployment-safe changes

Build AI-Enabled Workflows

- Identify high-leverage opportunities to automate workflows using AI

- Design human-in-the-loop automation where AI augments team workflows

- Own tool selection and integration for AI systems used internally

- Ensure AI-powered workflows are secure, auditable, and reliable

- Partner with leadership to determine what should and should not be automated

Integrations & Cross-System Workflows

- Build and maintain API-based integrations between Salesforce and other systems

- Work with REST APIs, authentication, error handling, retries, and monitoring

- Reason about failure modes, edge cases, and long-running workflows

- Help evolve event-driven or asynchronous automation patterns as systems scale

Platform Engineering & Reliability

- Contribute to the long-term health of the Salesforce platform

- Improve performance, stability, and maintainability of existing systems

- Refactor legacy automation and code to reduce technical debt

- Support data quality initiatives through validation, deduplication, and defensive design

Operational Ownership

- Support day-to-day system operations & Salesforce administration

- Build reports and dashboards that are backed by reliable, well-modeled data

- Document code, workflows, and system behavior clearly and pragmatically

- Participate in testing, QA, and release hygiene

What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)

- You are shipping reliable, well-tested automation. Integrationscore workflows are simpler, faster, and more robust

- Production issues are easier to debug. Resolvedata quality and system trust steadily improve

Candidate Profile

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering roles

- Strong hands-on development experience in Apex, with solid grounding in general software engineering fundamentals (experience in Java/C#/etc.)

- Solid engineering fundamentals: control flow, data structures, debugging, testing

- Experience building and maintaining API integrations

- Comfortable working in production systems with real users and real consequences

- Ability to read, understand, and improve existing codebases

- Experience working within Salesforce as a development platform

- Curiosity about AI-enabled workflows and automation

- Salesforce Architect Certification (nice to have)
