Maintenance Lead

As a Maintenance Lead, you'll take ownership of Site Services maintenance, ensuring critical utilities and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard. Your focus will be on maximising equipment reliability, reducing service interruptions and delivering effective asset care strategies across boilers, compressors, plant room equipment, effluent treatment systems and other Site Services assets.

You'll play a leading role in Health & Safety, ensuring maintenance activities are planned and carried out safely and in line with site procedures. This includes managing contractors, controlling permits to work, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and ensuring robust isolation procedures and safe systems of work are in place before work begins.

Working closely with Engineering and Operations colleagues, you'll drive maintenance excellence by analysing losses, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing sustainable solutions. You'll support the delivery of Autonomous Maintenance, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant and reliable.

You'll also play a key role in our zero loss journey, leading reliability improvements, supporting statutory compliance activities, delivering continuous improvement projects and providing technical expertise for capital projects across Site Services.

• A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification
  Combined with relevant experience maintaining Site Services, utilities or industrial equipment within a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience
  With knowledge of equipment such as boilers, compressors, pumps, motors, control systems, plant room equipment and other utilities infrastructure

• A strong Health & Safety mindset
  With experience of safe systems of work, risk assessments, method statements, isolation procedures and permit-to-work systems within an engineering or manufacturing environment

• Experience managing contractors
  Confident coordinating contractors, reviewing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), controlling site access and permits, and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required technical and site standards

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and IT skills
  Comfortable working independently while building effective relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders across the site. Able to use Microsoft Office applications and maintain accurate maintenance, compliance and audit records
