As the IT Security Manager at Laminar, you will play a pivotal role in managing our IT security systems, identifying and closing any cybersecurity risk we hold, whilst also ensuring the smooth operation and development of the IT function. Your primary focus will be on maturing our security systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, particularly in alignment with relevant accreditations such as ISO 27001 and SOC2. Additionally, you will be responsible for all Laminar’s IT related policy and business rules, the managing of software, hardware and infrastructure management, and establishing SLAs for user support.

Our IT team is the first port of call when things go wrong, and the first to spot trouble before it does. From fixing the everyday snags to keeping systems, networks, and data running securely behind the scenes, they keep the business moving so everyone else can get on with their work. Your leadership and coordination will ensure that the IT team continues to deliver high quality support for all departments within Laminar.

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC2 standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain a high-performing IT department.

Responsibilities

→Lead strategic IT projects: Drive critical initiatives to ensure we proactively identify and close any security system risks whilst remaining compliant with ISO 27001 standards, regulations, and audit compliance.
→General IT Management: Including responsibility for and oversight of software, hardware and infrastructure management.
→Develop and enforce policies: Create and implement robust IT policies, procedures, and controls.
→Collaborate across teams: Align IT efforts with our goals through close collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective support and product ownership for core applications.
→Functional Leadership and promoting culture: Offer leadership on IT security, risk management, and compliance, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, while also optimizing tools for support and ensuring efficient tech support across Laminar.

You will be a proven IT operations leader who knows how to switch between being a project manager, leader, communicator, researcher and doer, to make things better.

As a candidate, who should have:

Must-Have

Mastery: Strong understanding of IT security systems, where vulnerabilities are and how to close those gaps. You should have experience across both Microsoft and Google environments. You should also understand ISO 27001 standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, along with proficiency in risk management, compliance management, and audit processes.
Communication: Precise and structured communicator, both written and verbal, in English.
Leadership: Ability to effectively manage teams and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Impact: A track record of making workplaces better beyond just doing the basics.
