Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to manage our SQL Server-based apps. You'll troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and collaborate with devs to improve app stability. CS degree preferred.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- *Support*: L2/L3 support for SQL Server apps, resolve tickets, identify root cause
- *SQL Expertise*: Write/optimize queries, stored procs, performance tuning
- *Monitoring*: Set up alerts, ensure uptime, performance monitoring
- *Collaboration*: Work with devs, PMs to improve app health
- *Docs*: Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides
- *User Support*: Help users with app issues, train on best practices
Requirements
~1 min read- 4+ years app support/SQL Server experience
- Strong SQL writing + optimization skills
- Understanding of Windows/Linux servers, networking basics
- Problem-solving, communication skills
- CS/IT degree or relevant experience
- Certifications: Microsoft SQL Server, ITIL
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Python/scripting for automation
