Quick Summary
Global Projects Lead Lenskart.com Β· Gurugram, India Β· On-site Β· Full-time π Mission Brief: Set the Global Standard for Retail Excellence Lenskart is on one of the most ambitious retail expansion journeys in the world β scaling across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
Lenskart is on one of the most ambitious retail expansion journeys in the world β scaling across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Every store we open is a statement: about our brand, our obsession with customer experience, and our belief that technology can transform even the most physical of spaces.
This role is for the person who will own that statement globally.
As Global Projects Lead, you will be the architect of Lenskart's physical retail future β defining how our stores are designed, built, and experienced across every market we enter. You will lead with data, build with precision, and raise the bar every single time. Reporting to the Global Head of Projects, you will operate at the intersection of design, engineering, technology, and commercial strategy β driving the execution engine that powers our global store network.
This is not a maintenance role. This is a builder's role.
Be the custodian of Lenskart's retail brand experience β but go beyond aesthetics. Use data and AI-driven insights to define what a world-class Lenskart store looks, feels, and performs like. Establish design frameworks and specifications that are dynamic, scalable, and informed by real-time market feedback, customer behaviour analytics, and performance data from existing stores. Every new store should be smarter than the last.
Lead end-to-end store design and delivery β governing BOQs, specifications, and quality benchmarks across all markets. Introduce AI-assisted project tracking, predictive risk monitoring, and real-time dashboards to move from reactive problem-solving to proactive portfolio management. Define the processes and governance models that enable speed without sacrificing quality.
Build and manage a multi-year, multi-country rollout roadmap that is anchored in data β using site analytics, demand modelling, and market intelligence to prioritise where and how we grow. Partner with senior leaders across Retail, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure every new market entry is strategically timed and operationally ready.
Develop and govern a high-performance global vendor network spanning construction, fabrication, engineering, and maintenance. Go beyond traditional procurement β use data benchmarking, performance scoring, and AI-assisted vendor evaluation to ensure you're always working with the best partners at the best value. Build systems that make vendor governance scalable across geographies.
Champion a culture of intelligent value engineering β using material science, cost analytics, and AI-driven procurement insights to optimise every rupee spent without compromising brand experience. Own all project commercials: contracts, BOQs, procurement workflows, and financial controls. Bring the same rigour to cost as to quality.
Establish quality standards and audit frameworks that travel across borders. Use technology to enable real-time visibility into project status, quality compliance, and post-handover performance across every market. Build systems that make consistent execution the default, not the exception.
Build and lead a team of high-performing project professionals across regions. Create a culture of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Be the voice of the Projects function at the leadership table β representing the team's work, ambitions, and impact to senior stakeholders globally.
Experience: 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in global retail or consumer brand projects, with a proven track record of leading multi-country expansion programmes for design-led, premium brands.
Technical Depth: Strong expertise in design execution, BOQs, contracting, vendor governance, and engineering oversight β combined with a genuine appetite for using data and technology to make project delivery smarter and faster.
Scale: Demonstrated experience managing large retail portfolios across multiple geographies, with the ability to balance local nuance with global consistency.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering. Advanced qualifications in Project Management or Business are a plus.
Technology-Forward: You believe the future of retail project management is AI-assisted, data-driven, and real-time. You actively seek out tools and approaches that make your team faster, smarter, and more consistent β and you build the systems that outlast you.
Obsessed with Quality at Scale: You understand that quality cannot be a manual inspection β it has to be designed into the system. You build standards, frameworks, and governance models that make excellence repeatable across every store, in every market.
Commercial Sharpness: You think like a business owner. You understand that every design decision, every vendor choice, and every project milestone has a direct line to P&L β and you make decisions accordingly.
Builder's Mentality: You are energised by complexity and ambiguity. You don't wait for a playbook β you write it. You see a new market as a canvas and bring the rigour, creativity, and discipline to make it exceptional.
Transformational Leadership: You lead by conviction, not just authority. You inspire teams to raise their standards, challenge the status quo, and take ownership of outcomes β not just activities.
At Lenskart, we are building a technology company that happens to sell eyewear. If you want to build the retail infrastructure of a global brand that is redefining an industry β this is your role.
