The High School Presenter conducts engaging and informative presentations in front of high school students. They utilize effective public speaking skills to capture students' attention, deliver content in a clear and concise manner, and encourage active participation and discussion.

Under general supervision, provide motivating presentations to high school classrooms throughout a defined recruiting territory that will generate quality high school inquiries while adhering to all State and Federal guidelines and meeting accreditation requirements. Act as a liaison for the school between the local community and high schools.

This is a shared position supporting both the New Britain and Shelton campuses. The High School Presenter will be responsible for recruitment efforts within the assigned territories for both campuses and will work collaboratively with campus leadership to support enrollment goals. In addition to high school recruitment activities, this position will represent Lincoln Tech at community events, committees, organizations, and other outreach opportunities that support recruitment, increase community awareness, and develop prospective student leads.

Responsibilities

    Arrange with high school educators to visit and make presentations about the benefits of attending Lincoln Educational Services schools.

    Develop a high school visitation plan that provides consistent customer service to high school faculty, staff, and students.

  • →

    Support high school recruitment efforts for both the New Britain and Shelton campuses based on assigned territories, campus needs, and recruitment goals.

    Provide information to all potential students interested in receiving information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards. Expected to assist in scheduling eight career planning session appointments weekly based on the inquiries and referrals received.

    Complete a minimum of four high school visits with presentations to high school classes weekly during the high school year.

    Conduct a minimum of 12 high school presentations per week or the appropriate amount based on individual data and high school budget.

    Generate a minimum of 100 high school senior inquiries per week with a minimum of 3,500 per high school year.

    Follow up on all prospective student inquiries within 24 hours and identify interested students.

  • →

    Attend and actively participate in community events, community committees, career fairs, outreach events, and other recruitment opportunities on behalf of the New Britain and Shelton campuses.

    Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, local partners, and other organizations that can support student recruitment and referral opportunities for both campuses.

    Identify new community outreach opportunities that can generate prospective student inquiries and increase awareness of Lincoln Tech within the markets served by both campuses.

    Comply with governmental regulations, standards of accreditation, Admissions Department Policy, and Code of Ethics as they relate to enrolling students and recruiting policies.

    Utilize an approved telephone assessment, interview process, and high school presentation when interacting with potential students.

  • →

    Deliver enthusiastic, corporate-approved educational presentations within the assigned marketplace.

    Promote the interest of the school to all high school personnel within the assigned territory.

  • →

    Call students to inform them about upcoming events so they may begin to develop a relationship with the school.

    Organize bus tours and Open House events for high school students.

  • →

    Organize scholarship test days, Open Houses, new student events, and other events for current and prospective students.

  • →

    Coordinate with the Directors of Admissions and appropriate leadership at both the New Britain and Shelton campuses regarding recruitment priorities, upcoming events, territory activity, and prospective student opportunities.

    Provide comprehensive reports in a timely fashion to the Director of Admissions detailing weekly activities, including high school and community recruitment efforts.

The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and levels of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

  • Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a passion for quality are essential.

  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Must be able to stand on your feet for a minimum of six hours.

  • Must be able to travel in your car and provide insurance.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must be highly organized.

  • Must be able and willing to travel throughout the assigned New Britain and Shelton recruitment territories and attend community and recruitment events as needed.

  • In certain states, employee must be able to be bonded and licensed as an Admissions Representative.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

  • College degree.

  • Training or experience in public speaking.

  • Selected candidates should reside within their assigned territory; exceptions need to be approved by the SVP/VP Admissions.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items up to 25 pounds. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

Work is performed both in and out of the office work environment and requires driving to presentation, community outreach, and recruitment locations. A valid driver's license, the required minimum automobile insurance per company policy, and reliable transportation are required.
