Supervising Social Worker – Independent Fostering

Liquid Personnel are looking for a Fostering Social Worker to join their client on a permanent basis, working within an Independent Fostering Agency based in Manchester and Lancashire.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Supervise and support foster carers to provide safe, nurturing, and stable placements for children and young people.
• Undertake regular supervisory visits and monitor children’s safety, wellbeing, and progress.
• Complete statutory visits, placement plans, risk assessments, and reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities, birth families, and multi-agency professionals to promote positive outcomes for children.
• Provide guidance to foster carers on safeguarding, challenging behaviours, trauma, and placement stability.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and placement difficulties in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in foster carer annual reviews and identify training and development needs.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with fostering regulations and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration 
• Eligible to work in the UK 
• Hold a full UK driving licence 
• Post-qualified experience 
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
