Social Worker - Child Protection

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Child Protection team, based in Northamptonshire. 

The role involves managing a caseload of children and families, undertaking statutory assessments and child protection enquiries, assessing risk, and developing effective safeguarding plans.

The successful candidate will work closely with children, parents, carers and partner agencies to safeguard children, ensure their voices are heard and achieve positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases.
• Undertake statutory assessments, safeguarding enquiries and statutory visits.
• Identify and assess risks to children and implement appropriate interventions.
• Contribute to child protection conferences, reviews and multi-agency meetings.
• Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, police and other agencies.
• Ensure children’s wishes and feelings are central to decision-making.
• Manage cases effectively and meet statutory timescales.
• Promote child-centred and strengths-based social work practice.
• Ensure children’s safety, welfare and best interests remain the priority.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration 
• Eligible to work in the UK 
• Hold a full UK driving licence 
• Post-qualified experience 
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work 
• Relevant experience in statutory children’s social care and child protection.
