Social Worker/Senior Practitioner Family Support & Safeguarding

Liquid Personnel are proud to be supporting Oxfordshire County Council in recruiting a Social Worker and Senior Practitioner to join their Family Support & Safeguarding Team on a permanent basis. • Competitive salary of £38,220 - £45,091 at Social Worker level per annum (DOE) or a salary of £46,142 - £49,282 at Senior Practitioner level (DOE)

As a member of the Family Support & Safeguarding Team, you'll work with children and families who require longer-term support, intervention and protection. Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage a caseload appropriate to your level of experience, ensuring children and families are fully involved in decision-making.
• Work directly with families using the Family Support and Safeguarding Workbook and a strengths-based practice approach.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Complete child and family assessments and identify appropriate support and intervention plans.
• Undertake Section 47 investigations.
• Prepare and submit high-quality reports, including child protection conference reports and court reports for care proceedings.
• Deliver services in line with relevant legislation, statutory guidance and local procedures, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together and safeguarding frameworks.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records using ICT systems and ensure compliance with performance and recording requirements.
• Contribute to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare through effective assessment, planning and intervention.

We are looking for passionate and committed social workers who are motivated to deliver excellent services for children and families. To be considered, you will have:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Completion of ASYE
• Experience within Children's Social Care, safeguarding or family support services
• Strong assessment, communication and relationship building skills
• A commitment to high-quality, child-centred practice
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
