• →Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• →Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• →Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• →Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• →Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• →Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• →Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs.
• →Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during project handoff.
• →Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• →Review change order requests and prepare cost impacts as required.
• →Ensure estimates comply with NEC requirements, local codes, and customer specifications.
• →Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.
• →Support contract negotiations and clarification meetings with clients.
• →Track bid results and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
• Ability to travel to project sites, customer meetings, and pre-bid conferences.
• Ability to review construction sites and navigate active job locations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, or Trimble.
• Field electrical construction experience.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Experience estimating large commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, or data center projects.

• Strong understanding of electrical construction practices and installation methods.
• Ability to prioritize multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and project management principles.
• Understanding of NEC, OSHA, and applicable building codes.

• Office environment with occasional field visits.
• Regular interaction with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• May require occasional overtime to meet bid deadlines.
