In this role, you will oversee field construction activities and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to support safe, on-schedule project execution. You will work closely with Area Construction Managers, design teams, and project stakeholders to manage installation activities, resolve field issues, and ensure systems are construction complete and ready for startup and commissioning.

We are currently hiring Construction Managers across multiple disciplines, including Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), Life Safety Systems (LSS), Security, Telecom, Electrical, and Mechanical. Candidates should have strong construction management experience within one or more of these disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedule and requirements.
  • Coordinate construction activities between Area Construction Managers, project teams, subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage construction progress and system completion to support scheduled startup and commissioning milestones.
  • Verify required documentation is complete and systems are construction complete and safe to release for startup.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary installations to ensure alignment with project design, constructability, schedule, and system requirements.
  • Lead construction, startup, and coordination meetings to address field issues, schedule priorities, and system readiness.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and scope modifications and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform field verification of construction activities, layouts, installed conditions, and overall quality of work.
  • Serve as a technical resource for field construction teams and support resolution of installation and coordination issues.
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities required for equipment startup, commissioning, and project turnover.
  • Organize and facilitate training of client personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed systems and equipment.
  • Assist with project budgets, schedules, resource planning, staffing, procurement, subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and contract modifications.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

 

  • Strong experience managing construction activities on large-scale industrial, advanced manufacturing, data center, or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors, vendors, field installations, and multidisciplinary construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, system completion, startup readiness, and commissioning interfaces.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and change management.
  • Strong leadership, field coordination, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an active construction environment.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Construction or project management certifications preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
