Dispatcher (Rochester, NY)

• →Coordinate Deliveries and Pickups: Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks for both residential and commercial customers.
• →Customer Service: Answer customer inquiries about delivery status, timing, and material availability, ensuring a positive experience.
• →Manage Delivery Routes: Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• →Monitor Fleet Operations: Keep track of the fleet’s performance, ensuring all drivers follow safety regulations and company protocols.
• →Driver Support: Communicate with drivers to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during deliveries or pickups.
• →Inventory Management: Assist in tracking the movement of inventory, ensuring that deliveries align with stock availability.
• →Safety Compliance: Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and that all drivers comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• →Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, customer requests, and other essential dispatch records.
• →Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays or customer complaints.

• Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to multitask, strong problem-solving ability, and organizational skills.
• Technology: Comfortable using dispatching software, GPS systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the local Rochester area and the ability to create efficient delivery routes.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be on the phone or computer for long periods. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• This position is based at our lumber yard in Rochester, NY, with occasional on-site presence required to oversee the dispatch operations.
