Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000

Position Summary
Fusion Digital is seeking a Systems Administrator - IT & Managed Services to join our growing IT practice. This position will focus primarily on the systems, cloud, endpoint, identity, and managed services side of IT infrastructure.

The Systems Administrator will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support and systems administration for managed services clients, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Windows endpoints, and Windows Server environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong systems foundation, enjoy troubleshooting across different technologies, and be comfortable working directly with clients. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals is important, although advanced network architecture, design, and complex network engineering are supported by Fusion’s dedicated Network Engineering resources.

This position will also serve as a key internal technology resource for Fusion Digital, learning our core business software platforms and becoming an internal subject matter expert for their administration, support, integrations, and continued improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Systems & Microsoft Cloud Administration
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Manage users, groups, licenses, permissions, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity/access configurations.
  • Configure, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Windows endpoints.
  • Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and hybrid Microsoft environments.
  • Support Azure services utilized within client environments.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations, endpoint deployments, server upgrades, and other systems-related projects.
Managed Services & Technical Support
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 remote and onsite technical support for managed services clients.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, applications, authentication, email, printing, connectivity, and user-related issues.
  • Manage support tickets from initial diagnosis through resolution or appropriate escalation.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, account creation, permissions, licensing, and device setup.
  • Identify recurring issues and work toward root-cause resolution.
  • Maintain clear client communication and accurate technical documentation.
Managed Services Platforms, Security & Backup
  • Administer and support Fusion’s RMM, endpoint-management, security, backup, and related managed services platforms.
  • Monitor alerts, device health, patching, endpoint security, and backup status.
  • Troubleshoot backup failures and perform restore testing.
  • Support endpoint protection, Microsoft security technologies, MFA, email security, and other cybersecurity controls.
  • Assist with remediation of security-related issues within the scope of the role.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative and support tasks.
Network Support & Collaboration
  • Troubleshoot basic and intermediate network connectivity issues.
  • Maintain a working understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networking, and firewall concepts.
  • Help determine whether issues originate from the endpoint, system, application, network, ISP, or cloud environment.
  • Perform routine network-related troubleshooting within established standards.
  • Collaborate with Fusion’s Network Engineers on advanced troubleshooting, network configuration, design, and infrastructure projects.
Client Onboarding & Projects
  • Participate in onboarding new managed services clients and documenting existing environments.
  • Assist with deployment of Fusion’s standard managed services technology stack.
  • Support Microsoft 365 migrations, endpoint deployments, server upgrades, security implementations, and other IT projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Network Engineering and other technical resources where systems and networking intersect.
  • Identify technical concerns and escalate appropriately.

Internal Systems & Business Software
The Systems Administrator will also serve as an internal technical resource for Fusion’s business and operational software platforms.
Responsibilities include:
  • Learn Fusion’s core business applications and become an internal subject matter expert for assigned systems.
  • Administer users, permissions, settings, and configurations as appropriate.
  • Provide internal user support and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and support resources.
  • Assist with software implementations, migrations, upgrades, testing, and employee adoption.
  • Maintain internal documentation and user resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows through configuration, integration, and automation.
  • Assist with integrations between Fusion’s business applications and other technology platforms.
*The specific platforms assigned to this role may evolve as Fusion’s technology stack and business requirements change.
Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client environments, configurations, applications, and technical procedures.
  • Contribute to Fusion’s internal technical knowledge base.
  • Help establish and maintain repeatable standards for systems administration and managed services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, consistency, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 2–5 years of professional IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or managed services experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience supporting Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune or another endpoint-management platform.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of identity and access management, MFA, endpoint security, patching, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with ticketing, RMM, endpoint-management, or similar IT management platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within your level of responsibility while recognizing when escalation or collaboration is appropriate.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and software platforms quickly.

Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is beneficial but not required:
  • Microsoft Intune and Defender
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft 365 migrations
  • PowerShell or Power Automate
  • RMM and PSA platforms
  • Backup and disaster-recovery technologies
  • Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
  • Managed Service Provider environments
  • IT documentation platforms
  • Software integrations, APIs, or workflow automation
*Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, cloud, networking, or security certifications are a plus but not required.

  • Ability to travel to client locations as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform occasional scheduled after-hours work for maintenance, migrations, or deployments.
  • Ability to handle typical IT equipment including desktops, laptops, servers, UPS units, and related hardware.
