Chief Specialist, Business Integration Partner – GGM

This role acts as the primary business integration partner for the Base Metals and New Minerals business, ensuring Technology and Innovation initiatives are translated into measurable business value. It connects business priorities, operational realities, performance drivers, and technology enablement domains to support value realization, adoption, and coherent execution across current and future BM&NM operations.

What You Will Deliver

BM&NM Business Alignment

• Represent and consolidate Base Metals and New Minerals business priorities, KPIs, value objectives, and operational needs within technology enablement initiatives.
• Ensure technology solutions reflect BM&NM operating realities, risk profiles, production constraints, and performance improvement drivers.
• Act as the single coordination point between BM&NM business leadership and Technology and Innovation domain teams.
• Translate business challenges into practical technology-enabled use cases, requirements, and value opportunities.

Technology Enablement Integration

• Partner with domain integrators, chief specialists, and technical initiative leads to shape BM&NM-specific initiatives and technology use cases.
• Support the development of technology enablement requirements across platforms, applications, data, automation, AI, and operational technology solutions.
• Ensure initiatives are aligned with BM&NM operating models, process maturity, performance management requirements, and adoption readiness.
• Provide business context and success criteria to determine value creation from full-potential and technology-enabled opportunities.

Value Governance, KPIs & Portfolio Coherence

• Govern the alignment of BM&NM technology initiatives with agreed KPIs, value targets, investment priorities, and annual objectives.
• Support prioritization and sequencing of initiatives to maximize business value, operational impact, and implementation feasibility.
• Track benefit realization across BM&NM initiatives and highlight risks, dependencies, adoption barriers, and value leakage.
• Maintain coherence between domain-level technology roadmaps and BM&NM strategic business outcomes.

Adoption, Change Readiness & Business Value Realization

• Enable business adoption by aligning processes, operating models, ways of working, and performance routines with technology-enabled changes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to BM&NM leadership on technology enablement priorities, business impact, risks, and adoption requirements.
• Coordinate change readiness inputs, stakeholder alignment, decision support, and benefit tracking for major technology initiatives.
• Ensure initiatives are embedded into daily operations and contribute to measurable operational excellence outcomes.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement & Decision Support

• Prepare executive-level inputs, insights, and recommendations to support prioritization, investment decisions, and value governance.
• Facilitate alignment between BM&NM leadership, Technology Enablement, domain teams, and initiative owners.
• Escalate strategic risks, decision points, interdependencies, and resource constraints impacting BM&NM value delivery.
• Provide practical business guidance to ensure technology solutions remain focused on outcomes, usability, and operational impact.

  Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, Mining, Operations, Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related discipline. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Base Metals, New Minerals, mining operations, business transformation, technology enablement, or operational excellence roles.
• Strong understanding of mining operating models, business value drivers, production performance, cost drivers, risk profiles, and operational improvement levers.
• Demonstrated experience partnering across business leadership, technology teams, domain specialists, and initiative owners to deliver cross-functional value.
