Manager, Project Base Metals Projects

Job purpose

The Manager, PBM Projects will lead and manage PBM activities for exploration projects in the Western Region, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budget, and timelines. The Manager oversees planning, execution, and performance monitoring of exploration initiatives, while coordinating with technical and business teams to ensure project success.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the portfolio of exploration projects in the Western Region, from planning to execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with geoscience, finance, procurement, and operations teams.
• Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior leadership.
• Support risk management and changing control processes.
• Mentor project coordinators and contribute to capability development within PBM.

Minimum Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Project Management, or related field. PMP or equivalent certification preferred. 

Minimum Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in project management or exploration operations, with at least 5 years in managing regional or field-based projects.
