Risk & Insurance Manager

We are now looking for a Risk & Insurance Manager, to lead and further develop our global risk management and insurance activities. This is a highly visible specialist role with significant interaction across the organization and direct exposure to executive management.

The Role

As Risk & Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing the Group's risk management framework, insurance programmes and captive insurance activities. You will work closely with the CFO, senior management, business units and external partners. Structured support will be provided during an initial transition period.

This is a hands-on role combining insurance knowledge, administration, coordination and stakeholder contact. It involves close cooperation with senior management, business units, brokers, insurers and other external partners, with clear ownership of the ongoing processes.

• Lead the preparation, coordination and renewal of the Group's global insurance and reinsurance programmes, including Property Damage and Business Interruption, Liability, Financial Lines, Credit, Cargo and Storage.
• Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, risk advisers and follow up agreed actions and deliverables.
• Develop and implement insurance solutions in line with the Group's risk appetite and needs.
• Maintain clear insurance documentation and ensure appropriate insurance coverage and cost efficiency across the Group.
• Coordinate loss prevention initiatives, external risk surveys and the follow-up of insurance-related matters.

• Review contracts and commercial arrangements from a risk and insurance perspective.
• Support strategic projects, investments and business initiatives with risk and insurance expertise.
• Promote risk awareness and a proactive risk culture throughout the organization.

• Coordinate and further develop the Group's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process, including risk information, the risk register and follow-up of actions.
• Prepare and facilitate risk workshops across business areas and functions.
• Support risk owners in identifying mitigation actions and tracking progress.
• Prepare risk reporting for Executive Management, the Audit Committee and the Board.

• Lead the management, documentation and settlement of insurance claims in close cooperation with Legal and business stakeholders.
• Oversee the operation and governance of the Group's captive insurance company.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up of relevant regulatory, tax and governance requirements.

Who You Are

You are a dependable and commercially minded risk- and insurance professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach to your work. Comfortable with both technical insurance matters and administration, you enjoy working across functions and building relationships with stakeholders, brokers and external partners.

You are curious, collaborative and proactive, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and drive them to completion. You take ownership of your responsibilities  and work independently. If your experience is primarily within insurance, you are motivated to grow your risk management expertise and gradually into broader Risk & Insurance responsibilities.

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience from an insurance company, insurance broking, risk management or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of key insurance lines such as Property Damage and Business Interruption, Liability, Financial Lines, Cargo and Storage, together with a good understanding of insurance processes, claims handling and related administration.
• Strong communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Excellent English language skills, written and spoken.

• Experience from international industrial, energy, manufacturing or commodity-based business.
• Legal training and experience with contract law.
• Experience of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and methodologies. Experience of captive insurance would be a strong plus.
• Professional insurance or risk management certifications.
• Proficiency in Swedish
