AC Hotel by Marriott is seeking an energetic, service-driven, and inspiring Duty Manager to join our pre-opening team. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a new hotel, establish service excellence from the ground up, and play a key leadership role in creating memorable guest experiences.

As Duty Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in leading the daily operations of the Front Office team, ensuring seamless arrivals and departures, exceptional guest service, and a positive and engaging workplace culture. You will lead by example, empowering associates to deliver the sophisticated and intuitive hospitality experience that defines the AC Hotels brand.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operation of the Front Desk leading the Guest Experience Experts as they perform Guest Services, Concierge, Porters, and Switchboard functions.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop associates to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Lead daily shift operations and step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
  • Recognise and celebrate team achievements while driving engagement and motivation.
  • Act as a key point of contact for guests, ensuring every interaction reflects Marriott's commitment to hospitality excellence.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively, creating positive outcomes and memorable experiences.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and public areas to engage with guests and monitor service delivery.
  • Empower associates to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to continuously enhance service standards.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient check-in and check-out experiences.
  • Monitor Front Office performance against operational, guest satisfaction, and financial goals.
  • Support the implementation of departmental procedures, policies, and service standards.
  • Assist in developing action plans to improve guest satisfaction, service delivery, and team performance.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Assist in establishing Front Office systems, standards, and processes ahead of opening.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that help shape the guest journey and operational success.
  • Help create a culture that reflects the AC Hotels brand values from day one.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Front Office, Guest Services, Duty Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading teams and coaching associates to achieve their best.
  • Sound knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel systems.
  • Previous Marriott experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A Diploma, Degree, or tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business, Hotel Management, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
