As our Events Manager, you will lead the planning of luxury events within Australia's leading luxury hotel. You will be a trusted advisor to our guests and clients, transforming their vision into extraordinary experiences while driving commercial success.

About the Role

Lead and manage large-scale catering, social and corporate event opportunities, maximising revenue and profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Develop bespoke event proposals, presentations and contracts that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each client.
Build meaningful relationships with new and existing clients, positioning The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne as the venue of choice for Melbourne's most prestigious events.
Conduct inspiring site inspections, client entertainment and showcase experiences that convert opportunities into confirmed business.
Oversee the end-to-end event journey, ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly and with the highest level of luxury service.
Drive guest loyalty and repeat business by creating memorable experiences that exceed expectations at every touchpoint.
Collaborate closely with hotel departments to deliver flawless event execution while maintaining operational excellence.
Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing Catering Sales & Events team through empowerment, mentorship and recognition.
Champion a culture of engagement by supporting associate development and team-building initiatives.
Lead negotiations and confidently secure business through strategic selling and effective relationship management.
Act as an ambassador of The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards, consistently bringing our legendary service philosophy to life.

Proven experience in a leadership role within luxury hospitality, events, catering sales or conference and events management.
A track record of exceeding revenue targets and converting business opportunities.
Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial acumen and confidence in negotiation and contract management.
A passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences with an eye for detail.
The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the agility to excel in a fast-paced environment.
