Manager, Finance, Central

JOB SUMMARY

This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance and supports financial analysis for a designated area within the Marriott International Greater China Regional Office. The Manager, Finance will work closely with properties and various teams within the Finance organization, as well as other disciplines including but not limited to Feasibility, Asset Management, Operations, Commercial and Customer Team. The position is expected to apply sound financial knowledge, business judgment and prior experience to provide insights and recommendations that support business decisions. This person is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate information and reporting are provided to internal and external stakeholders, overseeing data consolidations and maintenance, and supporting report administration and tools.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analysis or related field, with concentration in Finance.

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial management or financial analysis experience

Preferred

· Hotel finance and accounting experience preferred.

· Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

· Proficiency in Accounting Software such as Sun System and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle preferred.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

· Support the Senior Director of Finance in analyzing the financial performance of the designated region, conducting analysis on various projects, and proactively highlighting trends, business implications and potential compliance risks to support timely decision-making.

· Prepare and review consolidated operating results, Continent P&L results and forecasts. Analyze forecasts as applicable, identify and track potential risks and opportunities, and communicate findings and recommendations appropriately.

· Participate in and support Finance strategic projects, including Long Range Planning and Business Plan, by coordinating inputs, preparing analysis and contributing recommendations where appropriate.

· Manage ad-hoc reporting and analytical requirements of the Finance organization and other disciplines by leveraging existing and new reporting or visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.

· Proactively explore internal and external tools, services, resources and platforms to drive efficiencies in operating procedures, with a view to creating broader benefits for Finance and other organizations across the company.
