Responsibilities

  • →Proactively drive catering, meetings, events, and group accommodation sales to achieve revenue targets
  • →Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and relationship building
  • →Manage the full event lifecycle, from initial enquiry and proposal through to execution and post-event follow-up
  • →Generate proposals, prepare and negotiate contracts, event agreements, and group accommodation arrangements
  • →Collaborate with clients to develop tailored event solutions, including menus, room layouts, and event logistics
  • →Conduct hotel and event space site inspections for prospective clients
  • →Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details are communicated effectively across hotel departments
  • →Partner closely with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Front Office, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • →Monitor business trends and identify opportunities to increase event revenue and market share
  • →Maintain accurate records within sales and event management systems
  • →Represent AC Hotel Gold Coast at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements and develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • →Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • →Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel sales, events, catering sales, conference services, or hospitality management
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive revenue growth
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Experience using hotel sales and event management systems is highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team environment
