Job Summary

The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and coordinating banquet events across multiple venues throughout the resort. This role ensures the seamless execution of events by coordinating banquet staff, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic, multi-location environment.

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior banquet or hospitality experience
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and approved DMV record

Preferred

Familiar with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel
Must be at least 21 or older

Job-Type: Full-Time

Typical Schedule

Days:

- Varies, including weekends and holidays as needed

Hours:

- Varies, including early mornings and late evenings
  - 30 to 50 hours a week - dependent on event load

✓Pay: $17.00/Hour

✓Lead the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events across various resort locations

✓Properly put away all decorations, maintaining a clean and tidy storage area

✓Ensure the server station for all event locations are kept clean and tidy

✓Ensure all banquet rooms are properly staged according to event specifications and resort standards

✓Coordinate with kitchen staff, event planners, and other departments to ensure timely service and smooth operations

✓Direct and support banquet servers, bartenders, and setup crews

✓Conduct pre-event briefings to communicate event details and service expectations

✓Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-spot coaching and support

✓Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through attentive and personalized service and resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally

✓Coordinate transportation of equipment, supplies, and staff between multiple banquet venues across the resort efficiently

✓Maintain communication with the Banquet Coordinators regarding event progress and needs

✓Maintain staff timekeeping records and assist in training new banquet staff regarding service standards and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

✓Ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed

✓Other duties as assigned by management
