Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide Occupational Therapy services at the intermediate level and implement programs for severely and persistently mentally ill patients, and function as a member of the treatment team.\r\nThis position supports the mission of the organization through active participation in clinical efforts to provide treatment in a recovery-oriented environment. The foundation of a recovery-oriented environment is respect and a commitment to safety in the least restrictive manner possible.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:� �Determined by the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice under the licensing requirements for Occupational Therapists.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience: None.\r\n

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

\r\n1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapist from the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, Spring Grove Hospital Center, 55 Wade Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228.\r\n\r\n\r\n2. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.�\r\n\r\n\r\n3. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n\r\n\r\n
