Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Customer Stories Lead to execute a customer storytelling and advocacy strategy developed in partnership with the Head of Customer Marketing. This role will own the day-to-day operation and activation of a high-impact customer stories program, transforming customer successes into compelling narratives that strengthen the Siemens brand, accelerate sales, support product marketing, and cultivate customer advocates.

Working closely with Growth leadership, the Customer Stories Lead will translate strategic priorities into a scalable customer proof engine that highlights measurable business outcomes and showcases the value of our solutions. The ideal candidate is an exceptional storyteller with strong customer empathy, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for enterprise audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Customer Marketing to operationalize the customer storytelling, advocacy, and reference strategy.
  • Own the end-to-end customer story pipeline, including customer identification, qualification, outreach, interviews, content development, approvals, publication, and activation.
  • Develop customer-friendly processes for participation, permissions, approvals, advocacy tracking, and ongoing reference management.
  • Identify and address story and reference gaps across industries, buyer personas, use cases, products, geographies, and sales segments.
  • Recommend strategies to strengthen customer proof coverage in priority growth areas.
  • Lead customer discovery sessions, interviews, and narrative development efforts.
  • Help customers articulate their business challenges, implementation journeys, measurable outcomes, and future vision.
  • Translate complex platform, AI, automation, workflow, integration, data, and cloud capabilities into technically credible and commercially compelling stories.
  • Create and oversee a variety of customer assets, including:
    • Case studies
    • Customer videos
    • Executive interviews
    • Sales presentations
    • One-pagers
    • Testimonials
    • Keynote content
    • Award submissions
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, Communications, and Field teams to activate stories across:
    • Marketing campaigns
    • Product launches
    • Digital experiences
    • Sales plays
    • Industry events
    • Public relations initiatives
    • Social media programs
    • Executive communications
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of referenceable customers in partnership with Sales, Account Management, and Revenue Operations teams.
  • Manage customer reference requests by identifying appropriate advocates and ensuring a positive experience for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop sales-ready customer proof points, making it easy for account teams to access relevant stories, metrics, quotes, and peer examples.
  • Prepare customer advocates for:
    • Webinars
    • Industry events
    • Executive briefings
    • Prospect conversations
    • Analyst engagements
    • Media opportunities
    • Other strategic customer-facing activities
  • 7+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Content Strategy, Product Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing customer stories for B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI, automation, cloud, workflow, data, or technical platform solutions.
  • Proven ability to create compelling customer-facing content that drives engagement and business impact.
  • Experience working directly with senior customer stakeholders and executive audiences.
  • Exceptional interviewing, writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong portfolio of customer success stories, case studies, executive content, videos, or integrated campaigns.
  • Ability to uncover, quantify, and communicate customer business outcomes while maintaining technical accuracy and credibility.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience partnering across Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Brand, PR, Legal, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Excellent program and project management skills, including stakeholder coordination, editorial planning, approvals management, production timelines, and content operations.
  • Sound judgment regarding customer confidentiality, consent management, legal review processes, and responsible use of customer data and claims.

The pay range for this position is $102,500 - $184,500 USD annually. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business considerations.

In addition to base salary, Siemens offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include performance-based incentives, healthcare coverage, retirement savings programs, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Eligibility for specific programs may vary based on employment status and location.
