Duties/Responsibilities:

✓Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans or patients.

✓The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options

✓Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top tier Psychiatric care for residents, including the Collaborating Psychiatrist, Mental Health Professionals, and HUB Coordinators.

✓The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary

✓Conduct daily rounds in one designated hospital, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the healthcare team.

✓Respond promptly to consult requests from the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, offering expert psychiatric assessments and recommendations

✓Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects

✓Implement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditions

✓The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Offers education and support to residents and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options

✓Promote mental health awareness and wellness among residents

✓Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards

✓Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions

✓The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility

✓Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes

✓Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Missouri required

✓DEA registration

✓Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred

✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✓Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
