WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Leasing Manager to join our Vancouver team.
The role of the Leasing Manager is to ensure the success of lease-up projects in the Metro Vancouver area. The Leasing Manager achieves this by driving project performance through excellence in timely Prospect Engagement, Leasing Strategy Execution, Customer Experience, Marketing, Administration, and Operations.
Your core responsibilities include:
Execute the leasing process in a timely, friendly, professional, and consistent manner, always embodying MLA’s Core Values and delivering the MLA Experience.
Implementing and overseeing the Leasing Strategy, as directed by the Director of Leasing, while ensuring the leasing team adheres to all required steps.
Building an exceptional brand experience for MLA’s clients and prospective tenants, while delivering a world-class customer journey.
Communicating regularly with the project Portfolio Team, ensuring effective communication channels and feedback loops are maintained.
Reviewing and approving all leasing agreements and deals executed by the leasing team.
Scheduling, managing, and overseeing all CRM database-related activities to ensure accurate and timely updates throughout the lease-up process.
Formally and informally training all leasing team members on MLA’s policies, leasing processes, guidelines, and corporate initiatives.
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of Leasing Training sessions for the project, ensuring the entire team is well-versed in project information and leasing protocols.
Driving the team to achieve weekly and monthly leasing targets successfully.
Monitoring market trends and competitors to adjust strategies for optimal performance.
Respond to new inquiries in a timely manner via phone and text and email, including outside of scheduled on-site hours when required.
Set up and remove all on-site marketing materials at the beginning and end of each shift, including A-boards, balloons, and other signage.
This is a full-time position, and the leasing manager is expected to be on-site 5 hours per day and 5 days per week. A typical schedule is 3 days per week during weekdays between 2-7pm and both weekend days from 10am-3pm. Besides the approximately 25 hours of on-site work, the expectation is to engage all new prospects while away from site and accommodate appointment-only showings if necessary.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
3+ years of experience in real estate sales, leasing or property management, with a focus on lease-up projects preferred.
An active Rental Property Management License with the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) if preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Google Apps, and MS Office applications (Office 365).
Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and lease management software (e.g., RentCafe, RentSync, Buildium, Yardi) is preferred, but not required.
Proven ability to produce results independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, but also able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
Outgoing, personable attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency and comfort with posting, managing, and responding to rental listings across common advertising platforms, including Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, Rentals.ca, and similar channels.
Fluency in a second language is considered an asset but not required.
