Yard Associate

As a Yard Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting customers with their building material needs and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment within the yard. Continuous learning and staying updated on the latest products and processes are essential aspects of this role.   Core Competencies: Customer Service Communication Problem Solving Detail Orientation Accountability Dependability   Job Duties: Customer Service: Greet customers promptly with a warm greeting and ensure first-class customer service at all times.   Loading and Unloading: Assist contractors/customers with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency.   Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard, sheds, and special-order area in a clean and presentable appearance.   Product Handling: Verify returned products by checking customer return slips, ensuring product integrity, and accuracy of product count. Support inventory control with accurate documentation and reporting of damaged products.   Financial Transactions: Ensure all products leaving the yard have been invoiced and/or paid for. Verify correctness and update product codes as necessary.   Assistance with Deliveries: Accompany Delivery Truck Drivers and assist with deliveries as required.       Stock Management: Assist in putting away received products and monitor/replenish merchandise from overstock as needed.   Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by promptly informing management of any concerns.
