Position Summary As a Yard Associate, you will play a key role in assisting customers with their building material needs while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized yard environment. You’ll support operations by loading and unloading materials, ensuring product accuracy, and contributing to a positive, customer-focused experience. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing first-class service at all times. Offer assistance and product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction. Loading and Unloading Safely assist contractors and customers with loading and unloading vehicles. Operate forklifts and other yard equipment in compliance with safety regulations. Yard Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, sheds, and special-order areas. Product Handling & Inventory Verify and process returned products accurately, ensuring integrity and correct counts. Support inventory control with accurate documentation and reporting of damaged or missing items. Assist with restocking and organizing materials as required. Financial & Operational Accuracy Ensure all products leaving the yard are properly invoiced and/or paid for. Verify and update product codes as necessary. Deliveries Accompany delivery drivers and assist with deliveries as required. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe work environment by following all company health and safety policies. Immediately report safety concerns or hazards to management. Other Duties Perform other related duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor. Why Join Moffatt & Powell?
