Naked Farmer is a farm-to-table restaurant serving seasonal vegetables throughout Florida. We are a multi-unit restaurant group looking to build on a culture of driven curiosity and ambitious innovation, finding and implementing new solutions to offer a simple, healthy, affordable meal. Our mission is to build a better food system by connecting farmers to the community. Naked Farmer is currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our team. About the Role
~1 min readAs the foundation of our scratch-based kitchens, our Prep Cooks are instrumental in creating the culinary deliciousness that defines us. If you have a genuine passion for cooking (or desire to learn) and believe that knife skills are life skills, we invite you to join our team. In this role, you'll immerse yourself in every aspect of food preparation, ensuring our kitchen operates like a well-oiled machine. Embrace each day with the understanding that teamwork makes the dream work, and your role is an essential part of the collective success of our chefs, farmers, suppliers and neighborhood. Come prepared to cut fresh vegetables, make sauces and marinades from scratch and leverage food preparation equipment with finesse, working in harmony with the team and under the guidance of kitchen leadership to prep the essential ingredients that keep us moving forward.
What We Offer

- Masterfully prep both cold and hot food items, adhering to precise preparation guidelines.
- Follow strict food safety protocols.
- Skillfully operate food preparation equipment, ensuring each step is followed with precision.
- Manage cold prep equipment such as fit-wash and robot coupe.
- Maintain immaculate, food-safe prep stations throughout your shift.
- Efficiently set up and dismantle food preparation areas, keeping prep equipment organized and sanitary.
- Facilitate clear communication between kitchen leadership and various kitchen zones to gauge and fulfill prep needs.
- Ensure consistent stocking of all areas.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of our evolving seasonal menus and its components.
- Properly store received orders.
- A passion for real, good food, with an eagerness to learn new culinary practices and skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Born during a global pandemic, Naked Farmer quickly adapted, delivering fresh food directly from farm to doorstep. Our ethos is founded on resilience, transparency, and telling the story of the farmers behind our local food supply. With a commitment to becoming 100% locally-sourced, we are now embarking on an expansion phase, opening new locations and furthering our mission of transparency in sourcing and cooking while supporting local farmers, communities, and chefs. Currently operating seven restaurants in Tampa Bay and South Florida, we are in the process of adding six more across the state over the next 18 months.
