As the Sales Enablement & Deal Ops Manager, you will own the discipline and repeatability of Neptune's commercial motion.  You will run deal-ops intake and pricing/discount governance, build and maintain the playbook library, and drive CRM logging compliance across the sales organization. You will also own contract execution and stand-up net-new capabilities for the team, including the Neptune AI prompt library and a Day-1-ready sales ramp program.  Across all of this, you'll partner closely with Sales to close the gaps between what Territory Managers have and what they need to engage buyers effectively — content, coaching, tools, and competitive intelligence — and use adoption and usage data to know where those gaps still exist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own deal-ops intake and maintain a <24-hour review SLA
  • Administer discount and delegation-of-authority (DoA) governance, including the escalation path for pricing exceptions
  • Partner with Finance/CGO to formally document DoA thresholds and approval levels
  • Own contract execution, including delineating contract accountability with Sales and Business Development at the pre-booking stage
  • Build and maintain the sales playbook library, refreshing it quarterly using win/loss data from Revenue Intelligence
  • Maintain and refresh competitive battlecards (e.g., against Sensus, Itron) to support Territory Managers in live deals
  • Drive CRM logging compliance above 95% across the Sales team
  • Build and own the Neptune AI prompt library
  • Design and deliver the Day-1-ready sales ramp program
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify training, coaching, and content gaps, and define training requirements and plans to close them
  • Coordinate with Revenue Technology on the tools that support enablement and deal-ops workflows
  • Track and analyze playbook, content, and courseware adoption and usage, and report on deal-ops SLA performance and compliance metrics

Skills:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in sales enablement, deal desk, sales operations, or a related field
  • Experience building and maintaining playbooks, training content, or onboarding/ramp programs
  • Familiarity with pricing and discount governance processes
  • Experience improving buyer engagement through content, collateral, or competitive positioning
  • Strong project management skills and comfort operating against defined SLAs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with AI tools and an interest in building AI-enabled sales capabilities
  • Relentless passion and commitment to operational excellence – delivering in scope, on time, and on budget to the delight of our internal customers
  • Experience with SAP ERP Preferred
