Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Configuration Management to join our team. This position will be located at Clearfield, UT to support the Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Responsible for ensuring the integrity and consistency of the configuration of the products or systems being developed, integrated, and delivered to the government.
- →Developing and implementing configuration management plans, processes, and procedures in accordance with government regulations and contract requirements, such as the FAR and DFARS.
- →Work closely with program manager, technical teams, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and control changes to the configuration, manage the baselines, and ensure that all configuration items are properly identified, tracked, and accounted for throughout the project lifecycle.
- →Responsible for conducting audits and assessments to ensure compliance with configuration management requirements and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time for the company to meet it's business needs
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience
- Requires 2 years' experience in leadership or management role
- Requires experience working with Air Force ICBM configuration management processes and procedures
- Requires experience working with systems engineering and engineering drawing practices
- Requires experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is highly desirable
- Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional in Configuration Management (CPCM) certification
- Minuteman III Weapon System Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in sustainment program
