Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience, 0 years with Masters.

  • 1+ years’ experience in complex information systems.

  • 1+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS

  • 1+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining MBSE system and software architecture and design definition in an MBSE tool such as Cameo

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

  • Must be able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1.

  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

  • Systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle.

​Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience, 3 years with Masters, 1 years with PhD.

  • 2+ years’ experience in complex information systems.

  • 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process in a Department of Defense (DoD) programs

  • 2+ years’ experience on large scale / complex software development experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS

  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining MBSE system and software architecture and design definition in an MBSE tool such as Cameo

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

  • Must be able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1.

  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and partnership/collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in MBSE.

  • Demonstrated experience in program adoption of digital engineering concepts, methods, and processes.

  • Experience with Project Lifecycle Management, manufacturing, and sustainment are a plus.

  • Experience with cloud-based environments, high performance computing, and virtualized environments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
