24 Hour Sleep-In Newborn Nanny (Norwalk, CT)

Compensation: $28–$32/hour
Schedule: Full-time, long-term; sleep-in; approximately six 24-hour shifts per month, including weekends and nights; schedule set 3 months in advance; additional hours available

Overview:
A family in Norwalk, CT is looking for a reliable, nurturing nanny for a full-time, long-term sleep-in role caring for their 8-week-old baby. The main need is about six 24-hour shifts per month, and these can fall on weekends and nights. The schedule is set three months in advance, so planning ahead is easy. On shift days, the nanny takes the baby to part-time daycare at 8:00 AM, picks up at 1:00 PM, and cares for the baby the rest of the day and overnight. The baby goes back to daycare the next morning. While the baby is at daycare, the nanny handles light household tasks.

The family can offer more hours to someone who wants a broader nanny/household assistant role, and they’re happy to shape the duties and hours around the right person. During stays, the nanny has an essentially private floor with their own bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. This is a pet-free home.

Responsibilities:

• Provide complete infant care during scheduled 24-hour shifts, including overnights, weekends and nights
• Drop baby off at daycare at 8:00 AM and pick up at 1:00 PM
• Care for baby from daycare pickup through the night, and return baby to daycare the next morning
• Handle feeding, diapering, soothing, sleep routines and age-appropriate play
• Do baby’s laundry and other light household tasks during daycare hours
• Optional with additional hours: grocery shopping, meal prep, family laundry, changing linens and basic housekeeping

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for newborns and infants
• Comfortable working 24-hour shifts with overnight care, including weekends
• Dependable, flexible and nurturing
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transporting baby to daycare)
• Infant CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
• Available to start the first week of November 2026
