Afterschool Nanny Position (Wilbraham, MA)

Location: Wilbraham, MA 
Compensation: $35/hour with ABA experience; $25–$30/hour without
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, following the school year (September–June)
Guaranteed Hours: 15 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
Commitment: Part-time, live-out

Position Overview
A warm family in Wilbraham is looking for a dependable, engaged after-school nanny for their 6-year-old son, who is in 1st grade. He’s a bright, highly verbal, social boy. The nanny will pick him up from school, drive him to after-school activities, and keep his afternoons fun and structured until early evening. The role follows the school calendar and is off during July and August, with a retainer payment offered over the summer break. The family also has a friendly dog, so being comfortable around dogs is a must. They care more about finding the right person than filling the role quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Pick him up from school each weekday afternoon
• Drive him to and from after-school activities in your own vehicle
• Provide engaged, structured care with play, homework support, and social activities
• Prepare and serve dinner
• Support consistent routines and positive behavior strategies
• Keep shared spaces tidy after childcare activities

Requirements:

• Prior professional nanny or childcare experience with school-age children
• Experience with ABA or behavior support strategies strongly preferred, not required
• Valid driver’s license, and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Comfortable around dogs
• Available Monday–Friday, 3:00–6:00 PM throughout the school year
• Patient, warm, and consistent, with strong communication skills
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
